well i guess some of you might already be tired/sick/irritated with the cute sun which i drew. i shall end your misery with this post and try to push sun down. when the sun goes down. the moon comes up. how about i draw you all a moon.

crap aside, while some of you might be thinking of any significant events that you have or have not taken part, in like 2 days time, it will be 01012009. its time to move on and not dwell on the past. cos my primary school motto is "We Look Ahead".

nothing much happened during decemeber. or rather im too lazy to recall. met up with my secondary school buddies for movie and meal at modesto which only the pizza is recommendable.

and there's Christmas celebration with my colleagues, where almost all my colleagues gave me something other than the compulsory gift exchange. Christmas is all about giving. that's what my colleagues have done. i'm sure they would not blame me for not giving. haa.

guess this will be the last post for 2008. not that very the interesting i know.

realised its been long since i last posted..

anyway today mark the day which kind of end my hectic week.. because i just finished my 21km AHM.. fcuk i had no idea what's going through my mind when i signed that up. i had to pay 25SGD if i remembered correctly because im an early bird. then in order to go for the run, i needed to pay another 26SGD for transport because its registration is at freaky 0530 in the morning.. and i have to run 21km.. nonsense.. but anyhow i completed the run/walk.. =))

and work for the past 2 weeks was super hectic. we had camps going on for 2 weeks. a camp for committee members of different IGs. In my school, we call it IG, interest group. (act only la) hahaha.. it was a short 3 days 2 nights camp, and i must say im lucky to have a wonderful group of participants in AMUNDSEN (name of my watch). In my school or rather OBS, watch refer to a group, team, or section if you want it in army terms. (again...) plus i still got tests and lessons. and talking about tests.. another blow coming.. but i will just wait and see how.

so what's in store next week.. well.. some shitty work to be cleared and i hope my workload will decrease abit. i've been slogging! when is my 'low key' period..

fellow brothers.. there is something i feel i need to share with you..

i was on my way home from school just now when i saw this young couple, around 16/17 of age, holding hands crossing the road. and the guy was carrying a handbag (those hand around shoulder and directly under armpit type). first thing which came to my mind was "WTF that looks gay!" and when i say gay it cant get any gay-er becomes it comes from me(my friends claim im gay)

moreover the handbag looks empty from my point of view so why cant the girl carry it on her own..

so next time if you wanna help girls carry their bag, make sure its those heavy type. but then come again, those lady-like girls wont carry such heavy bags and those girls who carry such heavy bags are those who are adventurous/sporty/etc and who knows, they might be stronger than you and will probably reject your offer.

so don't bother. (unless traveling)

so i went to RP anniversary dinner. the theme was Shanghai Night. and i have to get myself a tie, which i found it quite unecessary later cos i think my attire wasn't really that shanghai looking. someone said i look like a rich play boy.

anyway the event wasn't really up to my standard. i think my commissioning ball during OCS is way better(not because i won the 3rd prize and exchange it for the 2nd prize). but the performances that night was commendable.

and i won the TANGS gift vouchers..

a week in RP with Trainer WeiHong

as you all can see, i promoted myself to the position of a trainer! thats because im currently running Adventure Learning Programme for the Republic Polytechnic year 1 students.

yes that's seriously out of my jobscope and furthermore, im trained unofficially! GOOD LUCK MAN. hahaha..

but as a professional, i will do my best in ensuring that my students work in the safest and most conducive environment.

but theres a little problem. as you guys know im not very good at talking and now, i will always have to talk to kids. and im seriously pissed with the arrangement that i need to be a "TOUR GUIDE" in the OPEN HOUSE 2008. more on that later..

so coming back to the ALP, i must confess its really fun watching the kids scared out of their wits when approaching/trying out the high rope course. but on the other hand, when they make the first step out and completing the course, its the sense of achievement and definitely, you will also feel proud of them in overcoming their own fear. sometimes the enemy is none other than yourself. and when there's one entire class which turn up, you feel even better. and when that class is so united and supportive, encouraging their friends and cheering them on, even lagi best. one more point is RP students need to write reflection journal and when they write about you, you know somehow or rather, you made an impact in their life. =) and and and.. when the students remember you and greet upon seeing you.. that feeling, INDESCRIBABLE. end point is, it isn't that bad to be training them, minus the debriefing and frontloading. they really sucks. (got year 1 students still think im a student! haa.. some even hug me when while im running my first.. LMAO - not trying to showoff there but ya..)

and the OPEN HOUSE thingy when i am the guide for DOVER ITE... they are just.. *speechless*

two days in ubin, what have i miss?

monday 7th april was RP's official school re-opening. woodlands mrt were flooded with students. its even more exaggerating when another huge bunch were walking to RP. so many students i tell you.

tuesday i went to ubin for x-island sea kayak expedition and only came back yesterday. it was quite an experience when going through the mangrove areas. have to wait for the tide to rise before kayaking if not good luck. cos you will experience the mud and stuff you will not be able to kayak much in mangrove area when in low tide. ;) and my knee cap to ankle was burnt, only. =.=

sat was soccer match at boon lay secondary school. quite fun playing with real soccer boots and a proper field with referee. and i nearly scored on my debut! but i spent for this match. hope there will be other chances.

sat was also graduation ceremony party of republic polytechnic. its funny that im attending this. firstly i didn't even attend my own one, lastly im not even graduating. but since im a staff in a department which helped in the ceremony, must give some support. but it was still ok~ jean danker was the mc that evening and she look really slim. now that i remembered, the top lucky draw prize was a canon mini photo printer and that guy who won it used the prize to trade off a ipod nano 4gb during deal or no deal which was another top prize of the deal or no deal. which also reminds me of the lucky draw which i won during my commission ball. i traded a digi cam for a psp with my friend. haha. but the psp is gone already.

caught step up 2 which wasnt really nice in my opinion. i think rule #1 will be better. HAA..

a few days back i had a sort of 'camp' at Ubin. the place which i used to visit so often back in sec/poly days. but now its on the other side of that island - OBS.

honestly speaking, i had no idea what is the purpose of going there when what we did for the whole day were only lectures after lectures, and more lectures. and it is somehow closely related to what i learnt during OCS. Risk Assesment Management System is what they call here.

after so long, a decent post.
and after so long, i finally left SINGTEL.

its been 6 mths plus a few weeks. actually already felt like leaving with a few more months to go but stayed back cos of some of my colleagues. they really helped make life much interesting working there. and also if not for the usual morning breaks, lunch breaks, sometimes afternoon tea breaks, frequent naps here and there, no-need-reason-to-come-work kind of job, i would have left even earlier. yes its this slack. if anybody is interested.

working in this office has taught me some important lessons. i will keep those in mind.

the bbq last night was quite.. i should say i didnt eat that much. but fortunately when i was home, there was a KFC drumstick for me. although its cold, but it tasted exceptionally nice compared to the uncooked bbq chicken wing they made. haha!

first of all let me say hello to my poor blog.

its been 3 weeks already. i have been doing sometimes boring, sometimes frustrating, sometimes easy applications for SINGTEL. in case you all still have no idea what my job is about.. i'm just..

wait.. just let it be then.. its just a contracted temporary job..

workload is just fine, but eventually we will need to handle more and more applications as the time goes by. imagine now everyday after work, i just go home surf some net, catch up with my friends, although most of the time i'm just too lazy to initiate a chat, play some game sleep. next morning wake up like a zombie and goes to work again for 6 days.

plus.. next week school starts. wish me good lucks for my wonderful and exciting life ahead.

alright more on my work then. 1st week was training at somerset where we attended useless lessons and get half completed notes. but who cares as long as we are paid. seriously.

2nd week was just as slack as we only need to meet a daily quota of 2 applications.. only.. lolx..
its easy money la.

as for my colleagues.. i can say they are all quite nice.. although i still have not click with most of them. but im 'friendly'. i will try..

6 months will be up soon, there will be pple leaving and pple joining. soon i will become the 'old bird' there. and leave. the pay just aint attractive enough.

i really didn't notice i was entering that stage. i think i drink like as if i'm drinking warm water. until i really mistook warm water as beer, and kanna suan by linda. yes i'm still sober. surprisingly. anyway those people who are at lighthouse that night might know a 'secret' of mine. =/

i must be grateful to liting. she can control, unlike me. but i still managed to 'see' her home in some ways. NO?
